Thanks so much to the members who have already volunteered to be part of the Show committee. Many hands make for light work. Carol Mayefsky (VP Programs) and Mary Cannizzaro (Vendor Coordinator) are already in action lining up speakers and vendors that are sure to live up to the challenge and make your heart sing.

We have more Show committee job opportunities available. We welcome new members! Don’t be shy. The jobs are very straight forward and it’s a really good way to meet other members. Remember, we are not having monthly Show meetings. Sooo, if you are interested or have questions, please call or e-mail Mayann.

Hope you’re working on your “Go Green” and we are looking forward to displaying the Challenge at our Show. Anyone who would like their small group challenge or exhibit to be considered for the Show should contact me.

Each year at our Show, the number of beautiful quilts created partially by professionals and partially by members increases. These quilts, while being an important part of our Show and a joy for the public to see, will no longer be a part of the judging process.

We hope this change will satisfy the concern of many members’ interest in the fairness of the competition, serve to encourage the development of our members’ personal quilt-making skills, and lead to true collaboration amongst members.

Additionally, this will bring our judging standards more in alignment with other guild and professional shows.
